BARNABÁS LAKATOS GELLÉRI: THE REALM OF CREATURES 16. 9-7. 10. 2021
An emerging LGBTQ artist based in Hungary, Central-East Europe, Barnabas Lakatos Gelleri is engaged with the relationship between personal feelings & depiction. He directly translates struggles and joys of a queer life into seemingly easily digestable compositions. He doesn’t separate artistic and personal identity, his realm is the one dominated by his creatures.

The main element of András's painting practice is a critical interpretation of modern masculinity from a personal approach. Using a loose interpretation of the body as protective armour, he deepens emotional and visual oppositions and ambivalences as a symbolic, painterly and theoretical gateway.

MÓNIKA ÜVEGES: MELTING FIRE 13-31. 05. 2022
Astrida Neiman hydrofeminist describes the human body as an open entity mainly consisting of water. Seemingly isolated from the outer world, the human body is in fact enclosed by the porouse membrane-like skin. This argument makes us rethink Western metaphysics in terms of defining the human body as a sealed whole.
Hydrofeminism creates a new platform for the opportunity to leave behind the antropocenic viewpoint that human is above or seperate from the natural world and it encourages a new discourse on bodies as a network of entities within nature.

TIBOR CSERNUS DOCUMENTARY FILM 2021- 2022Paris, Budapest
Assistant Art Historian & EditorFor a whole year I was assistant art historian and editor of the documentary on the late Kossuth Prize Vinner artist Tibor Csernus. His body of work in the genre of surreal naturalism inspired a whole generation of artists. Living in Paris, away from his peers made it difficult for him to keep his influence as well as his professional circle and eventually he became a talent isolated alone in the Western art world. Interviews were made with, among others, former Cultural Minister of France Jack Lang and Claude Bernard Gallery manager Mirima DaCosta.
